We’re excited to welcome Ali W. Palmer to the EMI team! As the new Vice President of Evolution Management, Ali brings decades of experience from an array of private, non-profit, higher education, military, and government positions.
A 1997 West Point graduate, Ali spent 10 years as an Airborne Ranger, Engineer, company commander, and General’s Aide, with deployments to Kosovo, Macedonia, and Iraq (earning a Bronze Star for actions in combat). He left the Army in 2006 to pursue a graduate degree.
After attaining his MBA from Harvard Business School, Ali spent 7 years in multiple civilian roles, including International Operations Director at DaVita Dialysis, District Manager at Sodexo facilities management, and Senior Faculty at the Center for Creative Leadership©.
Ali re-entered the Army Reserves in 2014 and was recently promoted to Lieutenant Colonel. He currently serves as a training operations officer at Fort Knox, KY. He previously served as Vice Commander of his local NC Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and on a Congressional Nomination Committee for US Service Academies. He is also a member of the Army Ranger Association, sits on two boards, speaks three languages and is a Certified Engineer in NY State.
Ali is married to the former Melissa Heald (retired Delta Flight Attendant from Nashua, NH), and has three sons: Corey Nadeau (Army Infantry Officer), Austin, and Bennett. He and his family reside in northern Atlanta.
